IMPORTANT REMINDER

    For security reasons, students may not order food for delivery to the school or field trip destinations; this includes, but is not limited to, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and pizza deliveries. The security guards will deny delivery personnel entry to the school, and the student will not receive the order.

AMS GRADE 7 DANCE - JANUARY 17

    On Friday, January 17th, AMS will host the 7th grade Winter Wonderland dance. For your convenience, dance tickets are available for purchase HERE. Tickets can also be purchased in school the week of January 13th, during 6th period lunch. The dance will be held in the Accompsett Middle School cafeteria from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. All students MUST present their AMS ID card for admission to the dance. For the safety of our students, we ask that you enter the building to pick up your child. Thank you.

BATTLE OF THE CLASSES - FEBRUARY 7

    The AMS annual Battle of the Classes will be held February 7th from 7-9pm. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased through the PTA online store. *Tickets purchased by January 26 will receive a Battle of the Classes T-Shirt.

AMS SPORTS

    Final Forms is now accepting registration for Q3 sports which include Girls Basketball, Wrestling, & Boys Volleyball. All forms should be completed no later than 1/10/25.

LEADERSHIP BOOTCAMP

    The Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau is running a workshop on (Tuesdays) January 28th, February 4th, 11th, & 25th from 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm. Join us to learn how to effectively lead a group through practicing social skills, communication skills, planning skills & problem-solving skills. Earn Community Service hours. Enrollment is limited to 20 students on a first come basis. Students can pick up a permission slip from the main office or down load one HERE.

HOMEWORK HELP

    SHSW Honor Society is offering Homework Help this year to any students in need. They will meet on Thursdays, after school, from 2:45 pm- 3:45 pm in the AMS library. All interested students should sign up in the Counseling Center.

AFTER SCHOOL LIBRARY

    After school library is held Tuesday through Thursday ONLY, until 3:45 pm. Students can be picked up or take the 4:10 pm late bus home.

WALKER & BUS PASSES

    If students wish to go home on a bus with another student or if your child needs to walk home, A NOTE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS. Please have your child bring a note to the AMS Main Office.
    If your child will be a PERMANENT WALKER - send in a note to express permission to walk home during the 2024-2025 school year and it must be signed by a parent.
