8TH GRADE CARNIVAL - JUNE 23
AMS can't wait to celebrate our 8th grade students!! An 8th grade carnival will be held on our back field from 10am-12pm. There will be a DJ, carnival games, backyard games, an obstacle course, and plenty of food, snacks, and drinks. Mr. Softee will also be there! Buses will be available to take the students home. All students attending must purchase a ticket. Purchase Tickets HERE!!

SNEAKER DRIVE
The Community Service Club is looking to recycle sneakers to give to children who are in need. Donations can be made thru April 30. Collection boxes are located in the AMS cafeteria.

REGENTS / FLACS REVIEW
This program is to assist our students in preparing for the June 2026 Regents and FLACS examinations.
The program offers ten unique hour-long sessions, with both morning and afternoon options available for Algebra, Biology, and all Languages. A full schedule for the program can be found by scanning the QR code, which can be found HERE.
SOCIAL STUDIES - LUNCHTIME EXTRA HELP
Mr. Abuin will be offering a "Lunchtime Learning Center" for extra help in Social Studies. Students will eat first and come the second half of the period. Students can signup using Google classroom or just show up.

HOMEWORK HELP - ENDS MAY 14
SHSW Honor Society is offering Homework Help this year to any students in need. They will meet on Thursdays, after school, from 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm in the AMS library. All interested students should sign up in the Counseling Center before the end of day Wednesday. Students must sign up each week. If you do not sign up you can not stay.
Smithtown SCOPE - NEW Middle School Camp Program
Smithtown SCOPE - "Salute to America's 250th!" Our Theater Program will be led by Director Mr. MacCarthy from GHMS for grades 6-9 and a Culinary Adventures will be offered to grades 6-9.
Also offered is Smithtown SCOPE Summer Robotics Program (Grades 6-9). Students will work with the Smithtown HS Robotics Team to become familiar with the robotic engineering process while strengthening skills necessary for future robotics and coding experiences. Students will create a robot for the Robotics Competition held on the last day (Family will be invited).
All programs will be Monday through Friday, starting Monday, July 20th through Friday, July 31st. The program will be from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Nesaquake Middle School.

AFTER SCHOOL LIBRARY
After school library is held Tuesday and Wednesday ONLY, until 3:45 pm. The library is available Thursday if the student signs up for HS Homework Help in the Counseling Center. Students can be picked up or take the 4:10 pm late bus home.
WALKER & BUS PASSES
If students wish to go home on a bus with another student, A NOTE IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH STUDENTS INVOLVED. If your child needs to walk home a note is required. Please have all notes brought to the Main office.
If your child will be a PERMANENT WALKER - please send a note to express permission to walk home during the 2025-2026 school year. It must be signed by a parent.
