Guidance Update
Wilson Tech Information
Attention Sophomores and Juniors:
If you are interested in attending Wilson Tech for the 2026-2027 school year, applications can be found in the Guidance office. Please be sure to get your application in as soon as possible as programs fill up quickly. There will be an assembly on November 12th for any students interested in the program during periods 4 and 5 in the Smithtown West auditorium. All students must have a pass signed by their classroom teacher to attend. Passes can be found in the Guidance office. Any students who are interested in visiting any of the Wilson Tech campuses can do so on January 21st. Further information to follow. Please see your guidance counselor with any questions.

Attention Seniors:
If you plan to prepare for a career in teaching and attend a State University of New York or two-year Community College, come to the Guidance Office to request nomination consideration for a scholarship opportunity by November 10th. Please submit your resume along with your request.
Savannah College of Art and Design is offering the SCAD Distinguished Scholars Award to high school seniors with a GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. To request a nomination from your School Counselor, bring your resume to Guidance no later than November 21, 2025.
On-Site Admissions Day
Attention Seniors! High School West will be conducting our annual On-Site Admissions Day(s) on
November 19th and November 24th in the library. Please make your appointment in the
counseling center starting October 27th to reserve your time slot. We will be accepting appointments up until November 7th.
